History
CDP was founded in 1994 to provide the financial services industry with a practical means of dispute resolution away from the law courts. We continue to serve that industry together with commercial corporations and all who do business with them, in the UK and internationally.

People
CDP is peopled by team players who have the skills, knowledge and experience you would expect from an organisation that works with some of the UK’s pre-eminent companies, institutions and professional bodies.

Approach
Our approach is tailor-made and inherently flexible, bringing together the optimum combination of process and people who have the experience to ensure that dispute resolution is achieved efficiently, to the satisfaction of all parties.

Services
The bespoke nature of our services allows for the resolution of all manner of disputes, from a single case to a series of multiple claims. We draw on the full scope of ADR techniques available in response to specific case requirements. We work to both resolve disputes and help prevent them.

ADR contract clauses
Incorporating ADR contract clauses into standard contracts gives you an agreed route for resolving problems. This can reduce the need for the involvement of external advisors, helping to keep the time and costs spent on resolving the problem to a minimum. It also gives other parties to the contract confidence that an independent, neutral process is available to them.

Within our comprehensive offering there are currently three areas where we have exceptional experience and can provide particular support:

Multiple claims scheme
CDP is a pioneer in the field of multiple claims; we have the experience and resources to ensure that these schemes are managed efficiently, with the minimum of disruption, in what can often be lengthy, complex procedures.

Professional bodies, trade associations
CDP is a natural choice for professional organisations, trade associations, regulatory and supervisory bodies that seek to outsource the administration of determination processes, particularly those that operate through voluntary codes.

Employment support
Our Employment Support Service is designed to assist HR professionals and other managers by providing a valuable, neutral resource to help resolve grievance, disciplinary and other personnel matters to the satisfaction of all parties, and before employment tribunal or other court proceedings become necessary.

How we work
There is no set formula; we respond to individual requests for advice and guidance in a way that meets a client’s wishes. We aim to ‘partner’ clients and work as part of a team in order to determine the right approach.

The specialists we recommend
Specialists are selected from the CDP judicial and market panels, who bring to bear their own particular knowledge and experience and play a pivotal role in the ADR process.

Judicial and market panellists
CDP judicial and market panellists are recommended for their impartiality, their specific judicial, market and/or industry experience and for their skills as mediators or arbitrators.
