ADR techniques

conciliation
Conciliation is a highly flexible process particularly suited to complex, multi-party disputes in which the conciliator or conciliation team plays a pro-active role to bring about a settlement

Conciliation is:
  • not subject to formal rules
  • without prejudice
  • confidential to each of the parties and to the conciliators to the extent agreed by the parties
  • a consensual process that depends on co-operation from the parties and their continuing willingness to conciliate
  • not binding but is intended to lead to a binding agreement
