Mayor's & City of London Court Mediation Scheme

The Mayor’s and City of London Court Mediation Scheme has been operating since 2006. The Court Scheme is administered by the City Disputes Panel.
This page is provided as a resource for those about to use the Court Scheme or thinking about using it.
Mediation is a well established process in which parties in dispute who are unable to reach a negotiated settlement are assisted by a mediator to come to a mutually acceptable outcome. The Court Scheme offers a fixed-cost and time-limited mediation. Parties with cases in the Mayor’s and City of London Court may ask to use the scheme and, in addition, Judges will recommend mediation in appropriate cases. Trained and experienced mediators are provided by well established and respected mediation provider organisations. The mediators are independent and impartial and use their skills to assist parties to resolve disputes amicably.
Mediations take place at the premises of the International Dispute Resolution Centre (IDRC) in Fleet Street, London EC4.
